How much is safety worth?

A typical HEAT training or security awareness training in your home country is expensive. It will set you back $2000 in Europe and $2500 in the USA. In addition, these trainings are not customized to the context in Kenya. We are a local security company. We see the common challenges of expats every single day and know how to respond to and to prevent these. A single incident can set you back thousands of dollars, not to mention harm to your person and family.

Why Trust Us?

You may have had a general HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training), but each country is different and each environment needs local expert understanding. We've been in business 17+ years and our training is provided by local experts with military, police and security backgrounds. We're one of the few security firms in Kenya that pay their employees exactly on time and meet all their financial obligations to providers and contractors. This is not usual practice in Kenya. A guard who isn't paid on time is a security risk. Many guards wait weeks to months for pay. Not with us.We take the security of our customers seriously. Your security is our concern.

What are the topics you are covering?

Basics of a Security Mindset, Understanding the Security Situation in Kenya, Home Security, Working with Guards and Staff, Working with Service Providers, Shopping and Entertainment, Roads & Driving, Vacationing & Travel, Disease and Disaster Preparation

What is included in the 2-day onsite course?

You'll get expert trainers delivering the training content. Presentation slides, handouts, guidebooks and checklists to put the learnings into practice are part of the package. Lunch, light snacks and drinks are provided, but travel and accomodation within Nairobi is not.

Who is delivering the 2-day onsite course?

The main part of the training is delivered by our CEO Sascha Nethe, who has an extensive background in security and the military. We'll include experts in police and security on a per topic on demand basis.

Where does the 2-day training take place?

The training is held at the Intercity Secure Home HQ in Nairobi. You'll get a short tour of the facilities and we'll conduct the training in our executive room.

What if I miss a topic important to me?

The beauty of an onsite course is that our trainers can adapt on the fly and address any issue that you are concerned about. That said, we're covering the most common topics that expats are concerned about and need to know in Kenya.

What if I am dissatisfied with the course?

Tell the trainers what you need and engage in the discussions. This is not a content dump, but a live workshop. That said, if you are unhappy after the workshop, talk to us to see how we can make sure you leave satisfied.

What if I still feel insecure after it?

The most likely answer is that you haven't put into practice what you've learned. That's why we're giving you guidebooks and checklists to put the learnings in to practice within 30 days after the course.

Can my organisation pay for this?

Just ask. Chances are, they have a budget for it. The spouses of expats who travel with an organisation often get an education budget in the country. This qualifies. We'll give you what you need to submit it.

The price tag is pretty steep for 2 days.

The price for a course like this in the US or Europe is $2000 - $2500. We're offering it for $1299 and have a 30% discount for the first cohorts as an introductory offer. That said, a single incident like a home invasion, theft of car parts or a robbery can easily set you back $1000 or more. This course will help you save you from that.

Can I get a group discount for this?

You can book out a whole cohort of 10 people for $8.000 which will save your organisation $990. Send us an email and we can talk about running this for your organisation at a suitable date and location. If desired, we can also customize the course for your specific needs.

I don't have time for a 2-day onsite course.

We need this time to cover all the basics you need to secure your stay in Kenya. We have multiple slots to help you find a suitable time.

Can I pay in multiple installments?

Yes you can split up the payment into 3 installments. Talk to us during the booking process.
